We will meet at the South Hill Park and Ride at the corner of 9th Street and 31st Ave in Puyallup (104th Street and 98th Avenue if you are coming from the west on county marked roads) If you don't know where this is, email me for directions.

Meeting time is 7:30AM. We will probably be at Longmire before the gate opens but we'd like to be ready to go as soon as it opens.

We may have a park volunteer carpooling with us which may take a few minutes pre and post trip.

This is a great trip but it is far from the easiest trip that will be offered. Be sure you are in shape for the route. That said, we'll go as slow as the slowest person needs to go and modify the exact route as needed.

Please note:  The map and trip outline that pop up automatically for this trip on the website (from Seattle Headquarters) are totally wrong and describe a much more difficult route through higher terrain.  Please see below for our planned route!

Snow conditions have not been great so expect the worst and hope for the best. I'd suggest a change of dry clothes for the return trip

Please make sure you have plenty of liquid to drink (at least two liters) and snacks and lunch. You'll be burning lots of calories.

This is definitely a spot where you'll want a camera and we will stop whenever there's something you'd like to shoot so long as we are on schedule to get out by closing time.  Our Planned route is to snowshoe down the Narada Falls/Reflection Lakes Trail starting from the Paradise parking lot,  then head up to Mazama Ridge starting where the Reflection Lakes/Mazama routes intersect.  We will continue up Mazama Ridge returning via Paradise Valley Road to the parking lot.

Please allow the full day for this activity. In all probability we will be out till just before the gate closes.

This trip will go regardless of weather but we may take an alternate route if things are questionable.

First priority goes to Tacoma branch snowshoe students who have completed the field trip.
