8:00 AM at Sultan Park & Ride: Hwy 2 & 10th St.

Snowshoe trips are subject to change given weather and avalanche conditions. That being said, the Grace Lakes route generally has low avalanche risk most of the time.

While there is no course prerequisite for this trip, participants must be in moderately good shape. Even "easy" snowshoe trips can be physically rigorous. To get a general sense of whether or not you might be appropriate for a trip, double the snowshoe trip's mileage and elevation gain for its hiking equivalent. (In this case, ask yourself if you'd be able to comfortably handle an 8-mile, 1,000+ elevation gain dry-land hike.) Note that this only provides a crude guideline; different snow conditions can make snowshoeing easier or more difficult on any given day. Always err on the conservative side.
