Basic Snowshoe - High Hut

To be announced in leader message. It will be early. A Sno-park pass is required. If we do not have enough volunteer drivers with season passes, riders will all chip in for  a day passes.

This is a basic snowshoe trip as  we will not cross any avalanche chutes. But note, it is a strenous trip and quite steep.You must be in condition for this and remeber that snowshoe trips are usually more arduous than hikes of smiliar mileage and elevation gain.

I have booked two days: Wednesday Jan 29 and Thursday Jan 30. Participants must be available both days. The leaders will pick the best weather day as we get nearer to the date and then drop the other day. It would be a shame to go to HIgh Hut and not see the view. On a clear day, High Hut offers outstanding views of the area: Mount Rainier, Nisqually Valley, Anderson Lake, Puget Sound and the Olympics. Usually the huts are open, but I can't promise.
