9:00 AM at Ashford Fire Hall
We will drive up to the upper snow parking lot and snow shoe to the spiffy heated Cooper Creek hut (about 3 miles). If the weather is good, we will have an optional lunch time excusion to Mountain View. (those who prefer to stay at the hut and drink hot chocolate can). See http://www.skimtta.com/ for more details about hut and trails. There will be **Light trail maintance** associated with the trip. The main focus of this trip is to have fun, so if you don't enjoy doing light trail maintance, please do not sign up for this trip. There is another trip next week. Snow park permits are needed for vechicles going to the trailhead. The store across from the firehouse sells daily permits. Other vechicles can be left at the fire house. More info at http://www.skimtta.com/ Please contact leader if you have any questions. Great trip for beginners - and there are additional loops to do for the more advanced snow shoers. As of today, reports indicate 7 feet of snow at the hut.
