Ready to stretch your legs Valentines Day? Get out for a fun day in the snow exploring the winter wonderland in a safe setting with experienced leaders. We’ll provide loaner snowshoes and poles (if needed), you bring eager smiles. We’ll go out on an easy and safe snowshoe tour, and introduce you to winter travel. The leader will carpool from Bellevue Way; Seattle participants may synch up on the Seattle side. We will all meet at 8:30 am at Traveler's Rest at Snoqualmie Pass (directions to follow via email). The trip involves 5 miles in distance and 900 feet elevation gain. We might change destination based on weather and snow conditions; I will contact all participants prior if that were to happen. Please bring showshoes and poles, several layers of clothing (no cotton), snacks and water/hot tea/chocolate. We will try to be done around 2pm (no later than 3pm).
