Trip
Basic Snowshoe - Commonwealth Basin
Quick drive up the hill, some heart pounding but short uphill travel, trees, waterfalls, views. No real set destination once you get into the basin. We tromp until folks are satisfied! A favorite.

Meet at 8:30 summit west , close to the entrance of the parking lot. Be ready to leave after introductions. I encourage carpooling
Plan to bring snowshoes, spikes if you have them, poles, good shoes, layers, including a snow proof jacket, lunch or snacks, a hot drink, 10 essentials. A sit pad is nice to bring. Download a map to commonwealth basin.
This trip has a brief steep section in the beginning. There is a log crossing that should be pretty easy to find. From there we will tromp about in the basin. There’s no specific destination and we will break and turn back when the group decides to. Think of this as a warm up for the season.
