  • sturdy hiking boots or mountaineering boots
  • Crampons or microspikes
  • snacks and water for the day
  • rock shoes optional but recommended
  • HELMET (participants will not be allowed on the climb without one)
  • buff or face covering to cover mouth/nose at belay and other close spots
  • standard rock gear - leaders bring a rack and a rope, students expect to carry a rope
