Priority to Tormire SIG until June 26th. Rope leads reach out any time (I would prefer to have at least one rope lead that has done this route before, it's been a while since I've done this climb.)
Our trip goals, in order of priority, are to be safe, have a fun day, and make it to the summit. I am a cautious climber that loves to do easy climbs in pretty places, but I like to be efficient and keep things moving. We won't be fast and furious on this trip, but we also won't be slow and super laid back. Everyone is expected to contribute to navigation and gear management. Participants and leaders should be proactive in navigating, coiling ropes, and assisting teammates.
This trip may be rescheduled, relocated, or canceled completely pending weather, wildfire, smoke, and the re-opening of highway 20.
Participants requesting permission starting June 26th, please use the "Request Leader's Permission" button (don't email me directly, it'll go to my junk folder) and include the following: (1) Recent conditioning/training, (2)who your SIG/course leader is, if you're a student, and (3) your favorite thing about going on alpine rock climbs or, if it will be your first climb, the thing you're most looking forward to on an alpine rock climb.
TBD, but super early. Plan to sleep at the Blue Lake Trailhead the night before.
