The summit is a goal, but it is not guaranteed. Success on this trip is defined first by how we travel: managing risk together, gaining meaningful glacier experience, and enjoying the mountain as a strong team. A positive team dynamic and sound decision-making matter more than standing on top.
This is not a guided climb. Every participant is responsible for their own preparation, fitness, and safety. We will make decisions as a team, defaulting to the most conservative risk perspective. Everyone is expected to engage actively—contributing to navigation, expressing their perspectives, and open communication throughout the climb. Participants are required to research the route ahead and maintain an environment of mutual respect among all members.
This is a strenuous route. Participants must arrive in excellent physical condition, with recent outings demonstrating sustained uphill travel and the ability to carry a heavy pack. The pace will be steady and consistent.
We strive to create a team culture built on respect, safety, and shared responsibility. That means being honest about how you’re doing, supporting teammates, and speaking up if something feels unsafe. Differences in pace and risk tolerance can create friction on challenging climbs, so please reflect honestly on your compatibility with this style before signing up.
