Basic Glacier Climb - Whitman Crest/Fryingpan Glacier

A single day climb in Rainier National Park. Climbing Annual Fee is required (can be purchased and shared with the leader 2 days prior to the trip).

Request Leader Permission only via the link on the activity page under registration section (emails will not be entertained)...
- between now and July 9, 7 am for Seattle students that can't join the trips that have priority for their SIGs or courses.
- after July 9, 7 am for everyone.
When requesting permission do state
- your SIG or course name, if requesting before July 9, 7am.
- your conditioning ability to meet the participant expectations.

Participants along with leaders must be able to comfortably hike ~12 miles a day with a 25-30lb pack, including sustained uphill travel of 5,000 feet elevation gain in a day over mixed terrain (trail, snow, rock).
Make decisions as a group and work to help one another as needed.

Registration Priority for participants is same as leader permission dates mentioned above.
Assistant Leaders can sign up at any time by requesting permission.
