Fitness - are you ready? All participants must meet fitness standard: Hike Mt Si trail carrying 25 lbs in less than 2 hours OR hike Cable Line trail to summit of West Tiger 3 carrying 30 lbs in less than 1:15. Effective rate of ascent for each is about 1600 vertical feet per hour.  Please state that you currently meet this standard when requesting permission to register.

Participants in Barb Mottler's SIG group will be given registration priority for this climb.  If you are part of this SIG group and have completed all the class requirements to participate on a Basic Glacier climb, please contact leader for permission to register on 05/31. All other participants and rope leads who meet the qualifications for a Basic glacier climb may request permission to register after 7 PM on 05/31.

Because this is an ealier-seaons climb, conditions will likely be more strenuous than a July climb of the same route. Participants will need gear and clothing suitable for overnight camping on snow and melting snow for water.

Participants/Rope Leads: Do not contact leader for permission to register prior to the date registration opens.

Gear and logistics will be coordinated by email during the week prior to the trip. Please be available by email to participate in this process.
