Hopkins Creek

Trip

Basic Canyon - Hopkins Creek

Come join Jake and I on my first mentored lead :)

  • Basic Canyon
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 3.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 900 ft

Hopkins is a great beginner-friendly canyon featuring 9 drops and an impressive 250' waterfall. The approach is predominantly on trail and has virtually no exit. There is a short bushwhack directly prior to entering the canyon that has been known to have ticks during the summer season (highly recommend pants and long sleeves). Plan for 8 hours car to car, with water flow moderate-low. A logistics email will be sent out to participants a week prior to our outing. Full beta can be found here.

9am meet at Fischer’s Market. From there, we will consolidate into two cars and drive to the trailhead; hiking by 10am.
