Come join for arguably the most classic canyon the PNW, with a bonus run through East Canyon Creek afterwards if time permits (45mins away from Davis).

Meet at 9am at the lower parking area for the Davis shuttle where the road turns sharply left and becomes gravel (46.5373, -121.8122). Please have your personal gear as ready to go as possible. Please bring buffs to wear on the shuttles and in canyon as needed for Covid. A shuttle/car sharing is required for this canyon. It is a short shuttle under 10 mins. We will be suiting up at the upper shuttle parking and making the 10 minute walk down the canyon.
Required Equipment
Personal Gear To Bring:
- Wetsuit
- Helmet with Whistle
- Harness
- Harness should include: lanyards, variable friction descender, working carabiners, master carabiner, 60cm sling, hand ascender, chest ascender/harness, rigging 8, VT prusik/eyeloop cord
- Canyon shoes (or approach shoes with grippy rubber)
- Snacks/Lunch
- Water Bottle
- Headlamp
- Drybag or Canyon Keg to store snacks/lunch/other
Group Gear
- Canyon Pack (if you own one)
- Canyon/Static Rope (if you own one)
- Extra Drybags/Canyon Kegs
- Rope Bags
If you do not have a specific piece of personal gear and, please email/text Jake to discuss options. The Mountaineers has harnesses and a variety of hardware for participant use. The leaders will be bringing additional rope, ropebags, and packs from the Mountaineers to fill in the gaps as needed.
