Annual party climb of Unicorn Peak. Climb dates pending seasonal opening of Stevens Canyon road, but please pencil 06/07 and 06/08 for optimal weather. While this alpine climb does not count towards graduation requirements, it is a good opportunity to get into the field and put a variety of new skills into practice. With rolling terrain to navigate, two snow filters, and a short pitch of alpine rock Unicorn is an excellent sampling of larger climbs to come but in a digestible dose.

Student participation in this climb is permitted assuming successful awarding of the rappelling badge from the May 10/11 Rock III FT. Students who have not successfully passed this checkpoint by the listed climb date will be dropped from the roster.

Instructors are required to have the Leading Trad and Leading Multipitch badges. Current Intermediate students are welcome to request a roster spot, but successful awarding of the necessary skill badges by the listed climb date is expected.

Snow/Bench Lake TH 0730.
