Larches should be in season.

We will drive out friday night and car camp; then hike in on Saturday, drop packs at Snowy Lakes camp and climb Golden Horn, on Sunday, we’ll Climb Tower and hike out. We will need to be efficient on the approach and scrambling in order to complete these climbs with the short October days, make sure you can hike/scramble at a quick pace.

Also, there is quite a bit of scrambling on this climb; You should have quite a bit of scrambling experience to sign up for this. This is a better climb for a basic grad or someone who has completed the scrambling course previously, or who has other scrambling experience. Please email me with your previous experience to sign up.

Golden horn just has ½ pitch of actual roped climbing, Tower does probably not have any. Even though this is listed as a basic rock, it is probably really a basic alpine because it doesn’t have enough roped climbing, so you probably only count as a basic alpine credit.
