Basic Alpine Climb - Sluiskin Mountain/The Chief

Plan to spend two nights camping at Yellowstone Cliffs Camp on the Northern Loop Trail and attempt Sluiskin Chief (short alpine climb) plus scramble several other peaks in the area (Crescent, Tyee, Sluiskin Squaw, others?)

Carbon River Ranger Station, 7:30am to pick up camping permit. Arrange carpools to get here if possible.

Susan Shih will co-lead this trip and should be the point of contact if you have questions, concerns, or comments.

May cut down on some of the required gear because a) the climbing route is very short, and b) there is little or no snow remaining in the area.

Plan to use a mountain bike on the 5.5 miles of Carbon River Road.
