Basic Alpine Climb - Sloan Peak/Corkscrew Route

This is a one day car-to car climb. I am looking for 1-2 Everett Basic students who need an Alpine climb. It will be a long day.

  • Basic Alpine Climb, Strenuous 2, Technical 2
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 12.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 5,900 ft

We will meet Sunday morning (18th) at a TBD Park&Ride, possibly Everett, at 04:30 to carpool. Details will depend on who goes, what cars they have, etc.

Although the pace will be moderate, it will be a long day. The climb involves exposed class 3 and a glacier crossing. Turnaroud time will be set so that we are crossing the river (near the cars) before it gets dark.
