Basic Alpine Climb - Pinnacle Peak & The Castle (winter)

Two Day with Winter Overnight Basic Alpine climb of Castle in early season. Depending on conditions the summit block may require a rock pitch.

Coordinate carpools  well before climb.  Will meet at Longmire at 0800 on the 19th (note this is Friday - summit day is Saturday) unless you hear from us that the gate will open later.  Stay tuned.

Leader permission is required.  You must meet the branch fitness standard to be added to this climb and pass all classes and field trips. Jeremy Schooler is the Mentored Leader on this climb and all communications need to go to him.  We will hike in from Narda  Falls parking area and set up camp on the 19th.  We will summit in the morning of the 20th. 

Priority given to Kitsap Basic Climbing students needing a climb. Others may ask to join two weeks prior to trip.

Kitsap Basic Students, you may request to be on the climb. However, while you may be added to the list, you are not officially approved to climb. In order to  climb you'll still need to participate in and satisfactorily complete the still upcoming classes and field trips (except for Snow 2). You also need have completed the fitness test. Please feel free to ask to join and/or be added to the wait list as the final team roster may be a bit fluid until the last week before the climb (After Rock 2 field trip).
