8 a.m. at the Old Mt Si trailhead.

Review the required equipment list below.  I will have a scale if you want to weigh your pack and/or make it an official course required conditioner.  I would encourage you to build your pack weight with water jugs and bottles that you can then empty before coming down.  To get credit for the Tacoma Basic Climb course you will need to carry a pack weighing more than 25 pounds or 20% of your body weight, whichever is greater; and gain at least 2500' with a sustained effort over 2 hours.
