Registration opens online at 5:30 AM on Wed June 4. Advanced leader permission is not required. No early signups. All participants should be prepared to assist with navigating the approach and climbing route. I have not done this route before. Please note: this route is more strenuous than the Coleman or Easton routes on Mt Baker. Pace will be moderate. However, participants must be confident they have necessary fitness. Total elevation gain exceeds 8,000 vertical feet.

  • Mountain boots that can accept crampons (not hiking boots)

  • A back pack (40 to 60 liters) large enough to fit all you overnight gear plus some group gear, plus food and clothing for 3 days
