THIS CLIMB DESTINATION IS NOW THE TOOTH (same date October 16, 2014). SEE SEPARATE LISTING OF CLIMB FOR THE TOOTH. LUNDIN PEAK CLIMB IS CANCELLED. One day Basic Rock Climb of Lundin Peak. We start at Alpental. Do NOT go to Pacific Crest Trail parking lot.

Alpental Parking Lot at 6:00 AM near Source Lake Trailhead.  We are taking the "Alternative" approach (at the end of "APPROACH section" of Route description).   Do NOT follow Driving Directions to the Pacific Crest Trail parking lot.

NOTE:   ADDITIONAL ROPE LEADERS WELCOME.  They may sign themselves up anytime.  If get more rope leaders,  will be able to add more participants.  [10-8-14  10:25 AM, JEO] .

WAITLIST IS A GOOD BET - because two of participants might get a summit Oct 11 or 12 and would drop off this climb to make room for others.

LEADER'S PERMISSION IS REQUIRED for (Basic student) participants because the number we can take is limited by the number of rope leaders.  Contact Leader by email    -  he will register you as participant or on waitlist.  If you need one climb to graduate, please state such.

  • CRAMPONS AND ICE AXE ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS TRIP. ROCK SHOES ARE PERMITTED BUT DISCOURAGED SINCE LIKELY RAIN AND WIND WILL CHILL YOUR FEET SEVERELY. THE ROCK ON THIS CLIMB IS RELATIVELY EASY - BOOTS WILL BE ADEQUATE.
