DATE CHANGED FROM 7/24 DUE TO RAIN/THUNDERSTORM RISK. LIKELY DATES ARE 7/31-8/3, BUT MAY FLEX DEPENDING ON WEATEHR--DISCUSS WITH BRETT WHEN CONTACTING FOR PERMISSION (SEE BELOW) This is a climb of Dome Peak (basic glacier for credit) which is remote and beautiful mountain in a true alpine setting. AND also SInister Peak via the W ridge, next to Dome, which is not for credit and whose difficulty is somewhat unknown (probably basic alpine, but may be harder). Those not attempting Sinister can take a nice rest day. This is why the trip is 4 days. Involves a likely car camp and 10 mi Mtn Bike ride with all gear to get to TH so you need to be able to arrange that. Will not go if weather looks questionable but will try again a week later. Please do not ask to go if you are not in good shape mentally and physically to keep going on rugged terrain. The leader's pace is moderate, but overall this is a strenuous deal. Please contact asst leader Brett Dyson 206 527 9842 hhiking@hotmail.com for permission or discussion. Leader going out of town.
