Basic Alpine Climb - Colchuck Peak/East Route

A challenging basic alpine climb of 13 miles and 5,100 feet of elevation gain. Hike to Colchuck Lake and then climb the East Route from the Dragontail-Colchuck Col. Enjoy the beauty and views of The Enchantments in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

Stuart Lake Trailhead, 7am

First preference to Eades/Roderick and Nims SIGs.  After that open to anyone with sufficient conditioning.  Note that this is a one-day climb of 13 miles gaining 5100 feet.  Pace will be fairly strenuous.  You must be in very good shape.
