8:00 AM at Issaquah Park and Ride
This backpack will explore a pristine river canyon in Oregon, near Hells Canyon. 5 days/49 miles hiking diatance,. Map: USFS Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness. Ref book: Backpacking Oregon by Douglas Loraiin. The starting point will be Troy, Oregon. The area is very remote from any services, so it is necessary for everyone in our group to be self sufficient and experienced in extended backpacking. Fly fishing possible. The drive from Seattle to Troy will probably require two vehicles and one full day each way. Travel expenses may exceed $100 per person.
