Cathedral Rock-Deception Pass-Tuck & Robin Lakes

Trip

Backpack - Tuck & Robin Lakes

Spectacular granite enthrobed lakes, with a day of off-trail exploring

  • Very Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 30.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 9,000 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 7,144 ft
  • Pace: 2-2.5 MPH

Tibbets Lot in Issaquah, Friday  7AM

We will spend two nights at Robin lakes and take the off-day to explore the ridge and if safe summit Trico and Granite peaks, explore Granite potholes and Phoebe Lake and whatever else catches our interest.  Participants must be experienced  and comfortable in off trail travel and experienced  and comfortable with mild to moderate scrambling (we won't do any risky exposure). The mileage and elevation gain is for the backpacking part of the trip only.  The exploration day will likely be 10 plus miles and several thousand feet more.  The trail up to Tuck Lake for the backpack portion is steep and rough. Leader permission is required.  Please let me know you are conditioned and experienced enough for the trip.  Please tell me what similar trips you have done.  Thanks  Rob.
