Meet at 8 AM Saturday at the Traveler's Rest at Snoqualmie Pass, reached from I-90 by taking Exit 53, turning right at the end of the exit, right again at the T junction and then right into the Traveler's Rest parking lot, which is by the first building building on the right, brown with an A frame shape.  On the left side of the building are men's and women's restrooms.  On the right side is a general store.

From the Traveler's Rest we will caravan to the trailhead, involving retracing our route back to I-90 and heading east on it to Exit 80, signed to Roslyn.  Continue through two traffic circles to the intersection with SR 903, where we turn left on SR 903, northbound through Roslyn and past Cle Elum Lake,  turning left onto FR 46, signed 4600, and then right on FR 4616, which ends at the trailhead in one mile.  The trailhead parking lot fills up early, so we likely will need to park along the road and reassemble at the trailhead.  There are restrooms near the trailhead.  Every car parked at or near the trailhead must display a National Park Pass or Northwest Forest Pass.  Green Trails map 208 shows the entire hiking route and the driving route from Cle Elum Lake to the trailhead.

The hike in to Pete Lake is mostly level with a few easy crossings of small streams.  It is entirely under a forest canopy and in good condition.  After setting up camp we will have our trail lunch.  Then there will be an optional short, mostly level day hike to the crossing of Lemah Creek and back.

After the day hike, there may be time to swim in the lake before we have a camp dinner together.  Campfires are prohibited at Pete Lake, but we can still have after dinner conversation.

Last summer we learned that most of the cars at the trailhead belonged to people heading directly to Spectacle Lake, which left us a choice among many nice campsites close to the lake that would accommodate our group.

Sunday morning we will have a camp breakfast, pack up camp and hike out.  If covid 19 conditions permit, on the drive home we could have a group restaurant lunch either in  Roslyn or at Snoqualmie Pass.
