Meet at Carbon River Ranger Station  at 9 am. This is a clockwise approach of the Northern Loop. 

9/8 Ipsut Creek Camp 5.1 miles.  9/9 James Camp 9.4 miles. 9/10 Fire Creek 5 miles. 9/11 Berkely Park 4.4 miles with side trip to Lake Eleanor (additional 7 miles). 9/12 Ipsut Creek Camp 16.1 miles. 9/13 hike out 5.1 miles.

The Ten Essentials plus overnight gear which may include:

  • Tent with footprint/ground tarp
  • Stove and fuel
  • Sleeping bag
  • Sleeping pad
  • Water filter
  • Bear canister or extra stuff sack and cord designated for hanging food
  • Cooking pot/pan with plate and utensils
  • Toilet paper and shovel or blue bag to deal with waste
