Photo-oriented backpack for well-experienced backpackers in premier scenic Canadian Rockies destination.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Participants must be fit to backpack 6-10+/mile days with 700-2000' gain/day, at moderately high elevations (6000-8500'). Before sign up, be sure to have one of the required border crossing documents: current passport, WA enhanced drivers license, or WA enhanced ID card.

Trip minimum 3; maximum 6.

Leader reserved backcountry camp permits. Backcountry fee $46/person is payable at time of registration. Additional local costs will be incurred for Canadian NP entrance pass (daily or annual fee), accommodations, etc.

Backcountry base camp, 3 nights: Boulder Creek. Facilities at camp include bear-proof pole/cables for food storage, small picnic table, pit toilet, water supply at nearby creeks.

Include notes with registration, if you are interested in sharing tent (1 tent / per site) and prefer annual backcountry pass if registering for both Jasper trips: tent sharing OK & both trips - prefer annual pass.

Note: Annual pass date will start 8/3/12, unless you request earlier date. Annual pass fee is not refundable(annual fee is equivalent to 7-night backcountry fees).

Car camp reservation in Jasper NP highly recommended for evening prior to backpack.

Cancellation fees: $15, prior to July 10. For cancellations after July 10, cancellation fee will be $15 minimum fee and non-recoverable costs.

Consider extending your backpack days, and register for follow on backpack (destination pending backcountry permit by 5/9) in Jasper NP.
