Backpack - Lily & Lizard Lakes

A relaxed pace, approximately 8-mile route on a moderate grade trail, with an overnight at the serene Lizard Lake campground.

  • Moderate
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 8.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,650 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2 mph

Will coordinate closer to the trip date.  Anticipate being at the trailhead by 8 a.m.

We will travel at a relaxed to moderate pace, with rest/snack/picture breaks as needed to enjoy our time in the outdoors. This will be a leisurely trip.

We'll set up camp at Lizard Lake and enjoy a night there. Depending on group preferences, we can go for a short afternoon hike with a lighter load after setting up camp and having our lunch. In the morning, the plan is to break camp after breakfast with the goal of returning to the trailhead by lunchtime.
