Cascade Pass/Sahale Arm Kids are welcome for this 2 days 1 night backpacking trip and it is suitable for school age kids. This trail is a beautiful hike and I would like to do it in 2 days because I will take my 8 years old son with me. From Sahale Arm you can see probably the best views of North Cascades mountains. This place is also called The Kingdom of Marmots. The first day we will just come to the campsite, which is not too far from Cascade Pass, setup the camp and explore the area a little bit. (~ 4 miles and ~1,800 elevation gain). Second day we'll go hiking up on Sahale Arm ridge and try to get as higher as possible. The objective will be to get to the snow field but we may turn back if we run out of time. After that we'll go back to the camp, break up the camp and go back to Cascade Pass TH. (~ 10 miles, ~ 2,400 ft. uphill & 4,400 ft. downhill). The second day will be a little bit long but most of the time we will be going downhill.
