Backpack - Lake Ingalls

Late season overnight to Ingalls Lake.

Meet at the Ingalls Lake trailhead at 8am. Participants may choose to carpool. Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass required.

More details will be emailed later to the participants. 

Be prepared for low temperatures. Historically temperature in November flactuates from high 40s during the day to low 20s during the night.

Expected pace is 500-800 ft elevation gain per hour. We are goin to move in moderate to slower pace depending on the trail profile. If you are fast, please be ok with slower moving members of the group.

In case of inclement weather  we may choose alternative location.

When asking for leader permissions, please answer the following Qs:

- List any similar difficulty activities done in the past 6 months.

- What kind of sleeping bag and pad do you have for colder temps?

This is a mentored backpacking trip.

Required Equipment

The Ten Essentials plus overnight gear which may include:

  • Tent with footprint/ground tarp
  • Stove and fuel
  • Sleeping bag
  • Sleeping pad
  • Water filter
  • Bear canister or extra stuff sack and cord designated for hanging food
  • Cooking pot/pan with plate and utensils
  • Toilet paper and shovel or blue bag to deal with waste
