This is an easy, shake down starter backpacking trip with priority given to this year's Olympia Backpacking Class students. It will be run under the Mountaineers COVID-19 guidelines. There is a road washout just before the park entrance, so parking is along the edge of the road. Ipsut Creek Camp is a former car camp. Sites have bear lockers for food storage and the restroom is operational.
This trip is organized to help current students of the Olympia Branch Essentials of Backpacking course complete their course requirements. It is expected to fill quickly.
