10:00 at Hoh Visitor Center
A walk through old-growth rain forest, following the Hoh River as it meanders its way from the melt-waters of Mount Olympus, to the rocky Washington coast. I plant to hike as far as Martin Creek, about 13 miles from our starting point at the Hoh Visitor Center. If the weather forecast changes to more rainy weather, I may shorten the trip to one night, staying at either 5 mile Island camp or Olympus Guard. There is approximately 1000 feet of gain from the Visitor Center to Martin Creek, most of the gain is after Olympus Guard Station at 9 miles. Leader: Tim Nair 425-891-8668 tim.nair@verizon.net
