Ah, the joys of loop hikes and loop backpacks...where every step and every mile is a new one.

This backpack is described as "a quiet and often lonely" route -- works for me!! -- with amazing sections old growth forest, several open viewpoint spots, lots of elk, and several mountain lakes.

This backpack trip is open to all club members over age 18 with an up-to-date waiver on file. This trip is also is part of the B3 Backpacking Building Blocks series and qualifies toward B3 course graduation credit. In addition, this backpack will have a practical instructional/learning focus and offer experience in proper gear use and camp set-up techniques.

All Mountaineer activities, including backpack trips, are restricted to members over the age of 18 unless the trip is explicitly listed as a youth activity and led by a Qualified Youth Leader. This backpack trip is for adults age 18+.
