Backpack - Gray Wolf, Dose Meadows Cameron Creek & Grand Pass

Intermediate backpack: pivoting from the Wallowas to the NE Olympics at the last minute

This is an Intermediate Backpack.  Trip details shared with registered participants via email and spreadsheet.  Please inquire with leader if any questions.  In brief:

From Deer Park TH, head down to Three Forks, then to Falls Creek Camp.  Day 2, over Gray Wolf Pass down to the Dose, camp at Dose Meadows.  Day 3, possible exploration in the morning, then over Lost and Cameron Passes to Upper Cameron Camp.  Day 4, over Grand Pass, head up Grand Pass Peak, then down into Grand Valley and Badger Valley, finding on off-trail camp for our last night.  Day 5, climb up to Elk Ridge, scramble up both Elk Ridge and Maiden Peak, then hike back to the cars at Deer Park.

  • Tent with footprint/ground tarp
  • Stove and fuel
  • Sleeping bag

  • Bear canister required at last 2 campsites

  • Toilet paper and trowel or blue bag to deal with waste
