Initial meeting at the Ash Way Park and Ride (off I5 just north of the junction with I405) - details once sign up is closed.  Will regroup at the Glacier Public Service Center (bathrooms and water).  If hot weather is forecast, will be an early start from town.

This is a backpack for those who love meadow rambles.  We'll start from Damfino Lakes TH with a reasonably short (with a steep section) backpack to near Excelsior Peak - gain of 1500.

Day 2 will be rambling along the 5 mile low High Divide trail.  Flower lovers and photographers will be in ecstasy.

Do expect bugs (this is the North Cascades).

Pace is geared for pleasure - you don't have to be strong or fast; probably will average 1.5 mile pace uphill, give or take.
