6:00 AM Friday morning. Meeting location to be determined based on participant home locations.  No park and ride lots allows 5 days of parking, so we will need to park on the street near participants homes or leader's home (West Seattle).

This trip should be spectacular with  gorgeous mountains, lakes and meadows.

This is a difficult trip that will include off-trail travel across uneven slopes.  Several days we will climb over 3000' with a pack. It is "Leader Premission Required".  Inquiring participants needs to  demonstrate current season history of comparable (or almost comparable) trip(s) completed.  Inquiring pariticipants need history, familiarity and comfort with off-trail travel.  Please specific these experiences in your request.  This area in known for bugs and wildlife, particularly bears.  The September trip date probable means less bugs, but more bears, elk, etc.  Ursack or bear cannister required, headnet recommended.   I will present a more detailed itinerary as  we get closer.

This trip is scheduled during the time of year when forest fires and smoke have been an issue.  I will substitute a different/comparable trip if fire/smoke is an issue.  Possibilities include: The Highline Trail around (almost) Mount Adams or a loop of the Northeast passes of Olympic National Park--Cameron, Greywolf, Lost and Grand.

I will be out of email contact from July 9-11, Aug. 16-25 and Labor Day weekend.
