Due to a washout on the road, 9 miles RT has been added to this hike. Those nine miles are on the road between the washout and the trailhead. This is a beautiful hike, but the trail can be muddy. Please be prepared for wet conditions. Bear canisters are recommended. There are bear wires available, but you use them, you must bring your own rope for stringing up your belongings. All food items and anything scented (toothpaste, deodorant) must be hung or put in a canister when unattended. Here is the schedule: Thursday: Drive to parking area, register at ranger station, hike 4.5 miles to Graves Creek campground (fees apply) Friday: Hike 13.2 miles to Enchanted Valley Saturday: Spend morning in the valley. Hike approximately seven miles out to O'Neil Creek campground Sunday: Hike remaining ten miles to vehicles. The trail is in the process of being cleared, and should be fairly clear for this trip, but some climbing over trees will be required.
