Our trail follows along the riverbank on the abandoned road to the Dosewallips campground. Nature is slowly reclaiming this former car-camping campground, yet picnic tables and a lone outhouse remain in service; both welcoming conveniences in an otherwise beautiful natural riparian setting. A great destination for an early season backpack trip! Depending on the pace of the group, time permitting, an optional day hike from the campground to higher elevation views. Bear-proof food storage lockers exists in the campground, so bear-canisters are not required for this destination.
