Meet at 8:30 AM Saturday at the Enumclaw Ranger Station at 450 Roosevelt Ave, Enumclaw.  No parking pass is required there.  There are restrooms there.

From the Enumclaw Ranger Station, we will caravan to the Chinook Pass trailhead parking lot by turning right on SR 410 (Roosevelt Ave) and continuing east to Chinook Pass, where we park in the parking lot east of the pass on the left side of the road.  If it is full, we park along the north side of SR 410, just west of the parking lot.  A Northwest Forest Pass or National Park Pass must be displayed by every car parked in the trailhead parking lot.  There are four restrooms in the parking lot.

From the trailhead parking lot, we will hike south on the PCT, crossing the overpass at Chinook Pass and gaining 400 feet elevation, before descending to Dewey Lakes.  We will camp at the south end of Big Dewey Lake, near a sandy beach that provides good swimming opportunities when the weather is nice.

After setting up camp and having a trail lunch, we will do an optional 6 mile RT day hike south on the PCT to Anderson Lake, which offers another swimming  opportunity.  We'll have a camp dinner Saturday evening and a camp breakfast Sunday morning, before hiking out by the same route we hiked in.  If we hike out early enough, we can have lunch together at popular Charlie's Restaurant in Enumclaw.  Otherwise we can stop at the Naches Tavern in Greenwater, which also has good food.  In that case we would need to cross the highway to Wapiti Woolies for an ice cream dessert.
