Backpack - Carbon River Road
Basecamp Backpack to the Carbon River area with hikes to a lake almost every day. We'll spend two nights at Ipsut Creek and one night at Cataract Creek and day hike with light packs.

Carbon River Ranger Station at 8:00AM
Our permit is for two nights at Ipsut Creek and one night at Cataract Valley which are both group camps. Day One: hike in to the Ipsut Creek Camp, 5 miles w/option to hike to Green Lake or Chenuis Falls. Day Two: dayhike to Mowich Lake or possibly to Eunice Lake and Tolmie Peak, depending on conditions, 10mi, 3,270. Day Three: pack up and move camp up to Cataract Valley CG, then dayhike to Mystic Lake, 11 mi, 4,400 or Spray Park, 10.5 mi. Day Four: Hike out to TH ~10 miles.

Required Equipment
The Ten Essentials plus overnight gear which may include:
- Tent with footprint/ground tarp
- Stove and fuel
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad

- Bear canister or Ursack
- Cooking pot/pan with plate and utensils
- Toilet paper and trowel, plus sealable bag to pack out used tp.
