The most important thing to remember about this hike is there is no potable [drinkable water (EVEN AFTER FILTERING)]throughout this trip.  ALL water in the area is agricultural runoff, and is contaminated by chemicals used by farmers.  It can be hot [average temp 75degres ] at this time of the year, so everyone should carry in at least 3 liters of water or energy drink for drinking, plus what you need for cooking [aprox 2 more liters].  It is also recommend to have at least one more liter of fluids per person in the cars left at the trailhead for rehydration.

Will backpack in on Saturday morning and set camp up,  If the group is interested, we will than hike out to a big lake for views and pics.   The greatest danger on this trip is dehydration.  For that reason, we will break camp and hike out right after breakfast on Sunday morning  [around 9am].  There will be an optional lunch stop wherever the group chooses on the way home
