Upper Alpental Parking Lot, 8:30 AM
From the Alpental parking lot, cross frozen Snow Lake, pass Gem Lake and ascend Wright Mountain. As time and conditions permit, ski the north or northeast facing runs from Wright Mountain.
Intermediate or better backcountry skiing or backcountry boarding level expected. Skier oriented trip. Splitboarders must have sidehilling experience. No snowshoes. Skins, beacon, shovel, probe required; beacon must be a two or three antenna model.
Leader permission required, which can be obtained by e-mail to the leader.

- Boots, skis/snowboard, poles
- Climbing skins (or other method to travel uphill on snow)
- Avalanche shovel (metal blade)
- Avalanche beacon - Two or three antenna version required
- Avalanche probe
- Ski crampons may be required, depending on conditions.
