Ruth is situated ENE of Interglacier which I skied last Saturday. Ruth's route was completely covered from its summit to Glacier Basin.

Other gear:
(1) Ice ax or Black Diamond Whippet. Last July, I skied Ruth and while none of us carried or required an ice ax or Black Diamond Whippet, in a spot or two, such devices may come in handy. For this Saturday's tour, I'm bringing my BD Whippet.
(2) Hiking boots. The trail from White River campground to Glacier Basin is melted out. Fortunately, the trail is newly rebuilt so it's a relatively easy hike into Glacier Basin. Distance: 11 miles roundtrip.

Elevation gain: 4,500 feet.

Pace: Moderate (~800 ft of elevation gain per hour).

Duration: ~5.5 hour ascent and ~3 hour descent.

Participant prerequisite: competently skied Camp Muir or equivalent M2 rated tour.
