Description: March 7-16, 2008 –British Columbia: Monashee Range: Monashee Chalet (M1-2) This area gets lots of new snow each week; prepare for deep powder! Terrain includes alpine bowls, peak ascents, and great tree skiing. The 2-story lodge has a wood stove, electric lights, propane stove and oven, and fully-equipped kitchen (we will prepare group meals). The sleeping area consists of 4 mini rooms (double beds), 4 single bunks, and a loft. There is a simple indoor shower; toilets are outside. March 7 drive to Blue River , March 8 snowcat in to Monashee Chalet, March 9-14 ski alpine powder bowls and subalpine tree glades, March 15 ski out, March 16 drive home. Price includes snowcat in and Monashee Chalet. To register, mail a US$800 check to The Mountaineers with “Monashee Chalet” written on the bottom by February 15. Limit 10; one space open.
