  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,600 ft

Priority goes to participants on my Adams climb the following weekend. Once the activity opens, remaining spots will be first come first serve


  • This is a ski conditioner.
  • This will not count towards graduation credits for any course
  • Group will most likely separate based on pace. We will most likely regroup at the top of pan point and again at or near Muir
  • Participants are expected to be competent and proficient at using their touring equipment
  • Participants are expected to be competent backcountry travelers, ie knowing when to put on ski crampons, switching to boot crampons, navigating, managing water and food, etc
  • We will ski down as a group
  • Preference given to those that have skied Muir before

  • Climbing skins (or other method to travel uphill on snow)
  • Avalanche shovel (metal blade)
  • Avalanche beacon
  • Avalanche probe
