7:00 AM at Issaquah Transit Center

Wright Mountain is north of Snow Lake which is north of Snoqualmie Pass. This will be the 4th time I have lead this trip and it stands as my favorite place to go snowshoeing in the Cascades. Last year we stood in the middle of a solidly frozen Snow Lake under bright blue skies looking up at Chair Peak. Awsome sight!

MEETING PLACE:
Meet inside the Issquah Transit Center parking garage on the first floor in the Northeast corner at 7:00 AM. Call me on my cell phone at 425-442-6411 if you are running late and want us to wait for you.

GEAR:
- Ice Axe is always required.
- Snowshoes with agressive points on the bottom such as MSR.
- Crampons. They will probably NOT be required. However, if we have a big rain/freeze cycle, then they might be. In that case, I will notify everybody of the change.
- Avalanche Becon. Not required, but I strongly recommended that you have one and know how to use it.
- Avalanche shovel and/or probe. We should have 4 of each for the group.
- No parking pass is needed at the trailhead

ROUTE:
From the main Alpental Ski Area parking lot we will hike the route of the summer trail to Snow Lake. We will snowshoe across the middle of Snow Lake, then up to Wright Mountain at the north end of the lake.
