THIS TRIP WAS ORIGINALLY LISTED AS WRIGHT MOUNTAIN 5,340' BUT HAS BEEN RELOCATED TO W GRANITE MOUNTAIN 5566' DUE TO THE AVY FORECAST. Wright Mountain 5340'. This trip is about 10 miles and 2300' gain. USGS Snoqualmie Pass. Jack Stowe will be co-leading this trip with me. MEETING PLACE: Meet inside the Issquah Transit Center parking garage on the first floor in the Northeast corner at 7:00 AM. Call me on my cell phone at 425-830-1158 if you are running late and want us to wait for you. GEAR: - Ice Axe is always required. - Snowshoes with agressive points on the bottom such as MSR. - Crampons. They will probably NOT be required. However, if we have a big rain/freeze cycle, then they might be. In that case, I will notify everybody of the change. - Avalanche Becon. Not required, but I strongly recommended that you have one and know how to use it. - Avalanche shovel and/or probe. We should have 4 of each for the group. - No parking pass is needed at the trailhead ROUTE: From the main Alpental Ski Area parking lot we will hike the route of the summer trail to Snow Lake. We will snowshoe across the middle of Snow Lake, then up to Wright Mountain at the north end of the lake.
