7:30 am at the Carbon River entrance.
If you like clambering over blowdowns and hiking steep duff to a treed summit with no views, then this might be the scramble for you. Reported by some as the worst of the Rainier 100, this is tough scramble that will take 9-12 hours despite the short mileage on foot and modest elevation gain. This is probably not a good scramble for new scramblers. Wet conditions will cancel the trip.
We will ride bikes 8 miles RT to and from the Chenius Falls Trail. Mountain or gravel bikes required.
