Alpine Scramble - Three Fingers/South Peak

A two day trip with a 10 mile mountain bike ride and camping at Goat Flats.

The overall plan for climbing Three Finger South Peak is: 

On day one:

  • 10 mile bike ride. However a November2015 trip report indicated another obstacle on the way to the Three Fingers trailhead. About 3 miles from the original trailhead there is another yet another washout, this one is about three times the size of the one that originally made the road closed off to cars.

  • 4.5 mile from Trail Head to Goat Flats to camp (elevation 3100 to 5000).

  • This maybe a 10 hour day.

On day two

  • 2.5 miles Climb from Goat Flats to Summit (50000 to 6854)

  • 7.5 miles from summit to TH  7.5 miles (6854 to 3100)

  • 10 mile bike ride out or from wherever we had to leave the bikes.
